Here’s a fun fact for Arbor Day: Did you know tree canopy cover can reduce temps by 11-19 degrees Fahrenheit compared to communities with no tree cover? Planting trees helps combat dangerous heat islands in our cities. As a Funding Urban Forestry partner, we proudly join the the US Forest Service in helping strengthen our tree canopy and build a skilled workforce to steward critical urban forests with funds through the Inflation Reduction Act.
